Denis P.A. Byrne, M.D.
Dr. Byrne is a graduate of Harvard University. He attended the Boston University School of Medicine where he remained for his internship. His orthopedic surgery training was at Carney Hospital and the New England Baptist Hospital. He joined OSI in 1975. He has been certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Christian T. Andersen, M.D.
Dr. Andersen is a graduate of Ripon College and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He then completed a residency in Orthopedic surgery at the Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. He joined OSI in 1993. He has been certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

William J. Doherty, M.D.
Dr. Doherty is a graduate of Georgetown University where he received his bachelor's and masters degrees. He remained at Georgetown for medical school and then completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Connecticut. He then furthered his training with a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of New Mexico. He joined OSI in 1993. He has been certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Abraham T. Shurland, M.S., M.D.
Dr. Shurland received undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering from Tufts University. After eight years working in industry he attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. His orthopedic training was at Temple University. He then completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the New England Baptist Hospital, where he was assistant orthopedic surgeon to the Boston Celtics. He has been certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
